Well. You KNOW that I love to watch good things. You KNOW that, right? In Make Hey! we even have a list of good things to watch. What a shame I did not have THESE DVD’s when I was Making Hey, because they would have made the list for sure! Roadshow (an institution in Australian viewing history… I remember watching all those VHS videos thanks to Roadshow back in the day!) has sent me one copy each of these new release DVDs. They also sent me the sample copies that come in the little sleeves so I could watch these before I did a giveaway. Thank you Roadshow. I am totally impressed that Birds of a Feather goes for 16 HOURS!
Would you like to win The Crimson Petal and the White? Would you like to win Birds of a Feather too? Just comment below and tell us what you are watching right now, and why! Australia/NZ only, my dears. Sorry! Giveaway closes :: Monday at midnight Melbourne time.
xx Pip
PS :: The Frankie prize winner was Owlette

I'm belly laughing at My Family, love a good English comedy! Especially Birds of a Feather. You rock Pip!
Oh, something good to watch! How I would love that π
We only watch Playschool and an occasional movie at our place!
Wow, birds of a feather and crimson petal and the white!! Well i don't get to watch a lot of TV these days, but i have been watching Grand Designs on Sunday nights (even the kids like to watch the "building show") and for a laugh Arrested Development!!
Awesome! Another brillaint competition!
I'm watching Rosemary and Thyme, a very good TV show (that we just had to buy all three seasons of) about two garderners who are unlucky enough to find at least 1 murdered person everytime they go away, even when they're in Italy or France… and have just finished the last season of BBC's Kingdom with Stephen Fry- can't believe the cliffhanger ending that was the end of it!
oooo i would love to watch crimson petal and the white
it looks so darn tooting good π
I am watching Agatha Christie's Poirot on DVD, I love the clothes and the scenery, furnishings – pretty much everything. I cannot wait till series 2 of Downtown Abbey starts- I need good stuff to watch while I am knitting and have just started The Beekeepers Quilt
( Ravely) which will require A LOT of TV watching!
I'm watching Doctor Who on iview because we don't have a television π
Pip,
I do like to watch something whilst I stitch! Good shows on TV are so sparse! – I do enjoy Australian Story and have just discovered 'The next big thing' . 16 hours of Birds of a feather would get a lot of stitching done!!
Omigosh that actress is ah-may-zingh! Ro..oh dear i don't remember her name.. :S Ro.. oh well nevermind!.. but i loved her in Amazing Grace and The Amazing journey of Mary Bryant.
Right now I am watching Lost in Austen because I had a really stressfull day and it always cheers me up π
Peace love and sausage rolls,
Rebecca
Birds of a Feather is on DVD??? Fantastic! Such a great show!
I'm watching Play School. My 14 month old is dancing to Old MacDonald.
What am I watching?! Whew! Doctor Who, Glee, Packed to the Rafters, True Blood… to name but a few!
I am SO EXCITED Birds of a Feather is on DVD – I loved that and would love to watch again… pretty please?!
Hi Pip,
I'd love to win, we're watching allot of Toy Story & Mr Maker here but in the adults department we've been recording lots of movies and shows onto our new hd recorder (yay) watched the butterfly effect the other day but that was a tad disturbing more than anything. We love Gourmet Farmer, do you watch it? Very neat.
Ooh and I did start watching Mad Men, but didn't get finished before I had to take it back to the library so I'll have to order it in again me thinks.
Our favs here though are The Office (US), 30 Rock, Dexter (ew I know!) Modern Family and One Tree Hill (gotta love sappy teen tv series!) oops better stop now

The Crimson Petal and the White looks like it would be a great watch.
At the moment, I am watching to see if Dr Who will actually make it through the season finale, I admit to being a Gleek and when the kids are tucked up, a bit of True Blood or Breaking Bad gets fired up.
I'm not getting a lot of time to watch things at the moment but always make time for:
– Glee! – because I love the outrageous Sue
– Grand Designs – for inspiration or shock, depending on the project
I'm really looking forward to The upcoming screening of The Slap to see how such a great book translates to the small screen.
My niece has just been visiting, and she is so obsessed with the Press Gang (I gave her the boxed set for her birthday, and feel like an amazing Aunt because she loves it so much) that she brought it with her and we have been watching. (It's an excellent 80s highschool drama/comedy aimed at teenagers, if you're not familiar with it.)
I've heard about The Crimson Petal and White but do you think I remember to look for it at the DVD library? No, I do not.
So yes, in order for me to remember to watch such a DVD I think I should probably own a copy!
The crimson Petal and white for me please. That looks damn good. I am re watching Downtown Abbey on DVD as series two starts here in NZ in three weeks time and working my way through Larkrise to Candleford.
Hello! Right now I am watching 30 Rock, because one can never have too much Tina Fey in their lives π
Gavin and Stacey are my go to DVD's
I watch it so much I am even known to speak in a Welsh accent so the birds of a feather may cure me and I may change to a cockney accent. I like be multilinguil.
Laurie Freeman
watching The Tudors…series 3…have a fascination for kings and queens…
I have recently watched a brilliant film called " The Hunter" my friend won tickets to the pre release. We both thought it was worth recommending. Filmed in Tasmania and is about ….Tasmanian tigers and love and logging and hunting and….so much more . A movie for men and women .great plot.
Hope I win the DVDs .Thanks.
I have not seen either of these and would love to. Thanks again for being so generous!
I feel like the only things I that I watched for years are Dr Who DVDS and kids shows with cute little animals in them.
It would be wonderful to have some great movies to watch – on my own with some good chocolate.
Well late on a sunday night is a 30 minute programme called 'How to look at a painting' and its been great. Basically a kiwi dude tells you how to look at painting/art and what to be looking for etc. I did classical studies, art history and history at school and this man has put together a simpler version of all of these and squashed into some great watching. Even my husband ois enjoying and may have a better appreciation of art in general as a result. Fully loving it!
Woops forgot to answer what I'm watching… in the theme of historical sauciness, I'm watching the ever so depressing Tess of the D'Urberville's with the beautiful Gemma Arterton!
Ooh I saw a trailer on tv for the crimson petal and the white, and it looks super saucy. And historical sauce is the best kind of sauce!
The Crimson Petal and the White looks amazing. Having just watched Romola Garai in the incredible BBC series 'The Hour', I am trying to find more things in which she features.
Also, the GF is obsessive about Downton Abbey, and we are both revisiting Jeeves & Wooster, with Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.
I would love to watch both of those DVDs!
Right now, I'm on holiday and watching SpongeBob with my 7yo Boyo every morning, a kids movie in the afternoon pool trips, and True Blood S3 at night with my husband. What a holiday is all about, surely? π
My must watch show is Poh's Kitchen, but I'm also watching Sanctuary on dvd because I missed out when it was on ABC2.
I havent watched anything for a long time… just my knitting and the garden grow.
Oh dear… I'm watching Sesame Street & it looks like Big Bird is thinking about moving to the rainforest.
Hmm, why am I watching S.Street… it's on for bubba but he's not watching it, no, he's rolled under the chair & is chewing his foot… so I'm stuck here listening & can't help but watch..Sesame Street!!
Hi Pip! I loved the book of the Crimson Petal and the White, so I reckon I will love the DVD too!
I am watching Flight of the Conchords on DVD and Father and Son on iView.
Smoochies!
