Oh my gosh.
Have you seen this film? It’s the 1940 version of Rebecca, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It’s gripping, bewitching and ultra-entertaining. I loved it! You must see it if you haven’t already.
I’m ‘reading’ the book by Daphne Du Maurier too (via Audible). I always like to see the film AND read the book (even buy the soundtrack, if it’s ace.) I can’t help myself. I like to fully immerse myself in the story, I suppose… #abitnuts
Rebecca won an Academy Award in 1940 for Best Picture and Best Cinematography. Rightly so. I could not look away…
I find these classic movies are so much more consuming and compelling than a lot of more recent stuff. Throw in two beautiful people and Mr Hitchcock and it’s a fait accompli!
Are you watching anything great?
