I am in love with this cute, whimsical foodie series.
Alice In Paris is part Amelie, part Food Lover’s Guide and totally adorable.
If you, like me, wish you were in Paris right now. If you think about pastries and sandwiches way too much. If you want something bite-sized to watch while you are on the bus or the queue at the bank, then this is the show for you!
- I loved the one about the amazing pastries in disguise.
- And the one about the amazing crepes/sandwiches. I want on now.
- And also the one about the baguettes and bread.
Adorable quirk aside, this show is beautifully shot and features beautiful places, too. (Also, beautiful carbs and beautiful sugary treats.)
The eps are very short, but long enough to make you think about just how you could afford a Paris trip as soon as possible. (Of course you should fly 1000s of kms to try the world’s biggest and most delicious looking crepe! Don’t even ask!)
I have been looking up all the places featured on Facebook/Instagram, and making a pie-in-the-sky plan to visit, someday (a plan first sparked by the ace book I read a wee while ago..!)
Let me know what you think, if you watch this?
(Have you been to Paris? What did you eat? TELL ME!)

PS: Don’t you think Alice looks a lot like Sara Gilbert (who used to be on Roseanne?!) #CUTE!

Beautiful bread and cheese. Gorgeous crisp apples bought from the morning market. Duck and champagne for dinner. It’s was marvelous.
Oh thanks for the introduction – what a sweet show, definitely making me want to go back to Paris. I’ve visited Paris three times (but a long time ago) and would love to return. I’m saving up to take my daughter there.
My favourite food was brioche (I had it for the first time in Paris) and eating it in the parks.
I hope you get to go someday Pip xx
I loved these! I have been to Paris, but I” always keen to go back. Thanks for sharing Pip:)
OhPip! This just brightened my day! Thank you
I’ve never been to Paris. Can I come with you?
Imagine how PLUMP we could get! 🙂
This is timely since I will travel to paris next March! Being in Germany makes that way easier though.
I went in 2007 as a poor college student (found an amazing flight deal and traveled around Europe for six weeks!) so we mostly bought food at grocery stores and skipped eating out, which in hindsight I regret! In Paris we met up with a friend who’d spent her childhood living between Paris and Alaska (my travel companion was Alaskan) and she took us for simple but amazing ham & butter sandwiches and macaroons. I don’t really remember what else we ate; it’s all starting to fade now. I’d been keeping a journal as we went documenting it all but lost it near the end ?
