Oh my goodness. Look. Let’s be honest. In this fairy tale world of blogging I think it’s important to remember that the soft focus is not always the reality. I really do try not to do the soft focus, but it’s a fine line betwixt the honest and the complainy. I try to be honest without complainy. It is a very slippery slope sometimes! Do you find that?! I hate to complain. I do. (Except do not ask my children about that, because they will contradict me. But that is because they are like my brain’s trusts, they are in my inner inner circle {as are a few of my very excellent ladies. They know about the complainy me. Phew.})
The thing is, I think it’s not fair on you guys if I complain here… I mean you have bothered to click over, right? You deserve something for your trouble and loyalty. I do not think the poor-us will cut it. A bit of blog sugar seems way better, don’t you think? Something nice and clever. Or something beautiful and important. Or something cute and interesting. THAT kind of sugar. It’s not the pink fake kind of sugar, it’s more like raw sugar. I like raw sugar. I specialise in it. It doesn’t hurt your teeth.
Anyhoo, what I am trying to say is that we have been having a pretty rough time of it lately. Raw sugar aside, we are kind of combating the tricky times with hard work, lots of quiet time and plenty of time with really ace friends. And that last part is actually really ACE. The work and the quiet time thing are good, but you really do NEED to surround yourself with ACE people if you want to have a happy life. You can’t do it alone. Working hard won’t fix it either. Really. You need ace people to bounce off and ace people to love and ace people to hang with. You really do.

Pip, I think it depends on what you are blogging about and the purpose of your blog. At the end of the day you and yours are normal people and is it complaining to keep it real? I read blogs of other likeminded people and in that case its good to hear that other people have bad days. Its hard to say if the assumptions I make about the bloggers I read about are true or false, but thats the nature of it. I guess you should only reveal what feels comfortable to you. It is great to surround yourself with ace people with whom you do not have to be guarded..hope you are feeling like life is less rough soon.

Thank you for being so honest and real. Even though most of the time we all put on a brave face its always nice to share some of the bad stuff that's going on. And lets be even more honest we like a good complain now and again! I know I do hehe. Helps us to remember that we're human :D.
