Nice Life Reminders Pip-Life This that and the other

This, that and the other

dried flowers strung in lengths from the ceiling to create a beautiful exhibit

Do you fancy checking out some interesting, delicious and/or cute things? I thought so. Let’s do that right now …

This

These pancakes look so good, don’t they? I particularly love the idea of a pancake as an on-the-go snack! They’re one of the enduring OG wraps, after all … Pinch of Yum will show you how to whip them up. Then you can load them up with your favourite toppings. (Also, if you have Craft for the Soul there’s a good crepe recipe in there, too!)

That

I love this crumply and colourful log cabin quilt. There’s a bunch of photos of it – and lots more quilting inspiration – over at the maker’s site … Then Came June.

I’m making a quilt at the moment too. Mine is based on star shapes and triangles, all English paper pieced together. It’s taking ages, which I love. All those hand-sewn tiny stitches, tracking lots of afternoons in front of Call the Midwife and the like. I’m using bright yellow and neon pink thread because I want my stitches to show, making it very handmade-looking. I promise to show you one day!

The other

The 500 000 floating dried flowers of this Cleveland Public Library exhibition are the brainchild of British artist Rebecca Louise Law. The rescued and/or recycled blooms were strung together by organisers and volunteers to craft a magical and immersive experience. So NICE!

“We were saving them from funeral homes that were going to throw them out, grocery stores, drying them and then stringing them,” project director Erin Guido told NPR.

See you back here very soon, pals!
