Time

Oh.. never enough.. I would love it if time could magically double, in the given 24 hours. If we had a sneaky 48 chocked into that 24.. i’d just be beaming! In each day, my list of to-dos is varied.. it will include – probably in a 6 hour period – things such as ‘get new stock from wholesaler’, ‘clean toilet’, ‘photocopy 20 booklets at Officeworks’, ‘remerchandise shop’, ‘sew some props for new window’, ‘pay 20 bills we can’t afford to pay’, ’email press release to newpaper’, ‘do 3 loads of washing’. Because I live where I work, then the work things and the home things just meld together… which would explain why ‘Get max ready for party’ coincided today with ‘ scan in 40 or so swap cards and upload to Flickr’.. I need to work out how to separate work and home.. even though they are seemingly inextricably linked!

Tea
Is good. I wake up and I must have 3 cups of tea. I take it white and one.. and if I make it then I use artificial sweetener. But if Cam makes it.. then its sugar all the way. I like Madura tea. It’s low in caffeine – i think – and I like it lots. I have my early morning cup with a tea bag – and then I like a nice big pot and a nice cup and tea cosy – all on a tray.

Tenggren
Gustaf is his name… Illustration is his game. I love Gustaf Tenggren. He was a prolific Little Golden Book illustrator – and you know how we feel about Little Golden Books. His illustration from ‘The Little Trapper Boy’ is featured above.

Try
Try Try Again. I am the queen of mottos at this point in my life. And I would just like to say.. especially to those shy, creative types.. keep on trying! Don’t EVER give up on the things that you love to do, the things that matter. If you put your heart and soul into something.. then something will happen… I don’t know what the something is.. but something will happen. Keep trying. Don’t take things to heart too much. And be your own best (and most honest) critic.

Toenails
Grow fast. And the toenail scissors are always lost. Darn.

Teatowels
I have a complete obsession with tea-towels. We don’t even dry our own dishes – our lovely dishwasher does that for us – but I love tea-towels. They are pure, kitsch, nostalgic and practical. All nice qualities in a gal!
