Miss Chicken in Goondiwindi – 1963
In last week’s Words and Pictures – A Long Drive – I talked about Sonya Hartnett’s piece in the Sunday magazine. I’ve searched high and low for the article online – it seems you must pay to read it. It’s called ‘The Goondiwindi Boy’ – find it here if you would like to part with $2.20.
You can also find an interview with Ms Hartnett here – where she chats about family holidays and things like that.. and even more Sonya here.
xx Pip

Hello Pip,
I just wanted you to know that your fab book is selling extremely well in my shop! We have sold 15 copies which is WOW for a craft book! Must be YOU and your wonderousness driving sales. (Though I have waxed lyrical in support on the shelf display)
I love Sonya Hartnett too, though I haven’t read her Goondiwindi Boy piece. I have written some sweet comments about my favourite title Thursdays Child on the shop shelf.
