:: Sneak Peek : Omit The Bear?

May 20, 2011

Well. You know that I usually don’t show you the projects before the book comes out. But while no one is looking, take a peek at the Summer Camp Wall Pockets. This is designed to hang on your wall or on the back of a door and you can stow all your important stuff in it! Mine has a bear on it, but if you are scared of bears you could omit the bear. But I didn’t.

You could make a super wigwam-y quilt based on this project too, couldn’t you? That would be a good idea!

Make! Hey! While The Sun Shines is a book of crafty projects for happy days. It has some recipes thrown in there too. It’s out at the end of October and I hope you like it! I like it! I do!

xx Pip

Note :: John Laurietook this lovely photo (it’s in low res here, but when you see it published it will be hi res and super fancy sharp.) John took all the photos for Make! Hey!

Hello! Regular loiter-er, first time comment-er on your blog! I have been meaning to comment for ages…..I think the pleasant request on the floral background really made it for me though! I have been wanting to let you know how fantastic and inspiring Sew La Tea Do is. I have made a few things now from it – for an amateur sew-er to make things which actually work out, as they are spose to, and fit, or look right, is so inspiring! It's like you are giving people a key to unlock something which otherwise seems inaccessible. To be able to make things for loved ones is a real thrill…And your book gives people that ability. I am now quite sewing project obsessed and spend a lot of home time going through the book and planning projects (basically, all of them…need to prioritise) and a lot of work time wishing I was at home sewing!

I haven't even started on the book I just bought, Sew La…, oh except for the chai. Too good, I couldn't stop drinking it. Love the mix of cooking and craft!

Very cute again! I wonder if the new book is more about sewing like your 2nd or with a little bit of everything like your first book.
