Hello

:: Retro Readers Book Club :: Button!

September 6, 2011

LOOK at this button. OMG. It’s Cute-As-A.  That is what it is.  This is the button for our new Retro Readers book club!  Draw Pilgrim designed this button for us all.  That is pretty nice of her, don’t you think?  I think it really is.  I feel funny asking people for help sometimes, but when I asked on Twitter if someone had time to sponsor a button for Retro Readers, Pilgrim was first in line.  Thank you Pilgrim! Thank you a whole heap!

I am always amazed by the generosity of bloggers and people in general.  I think that there are some very good sorts about the place, I do.

So.  We are reading James and The Giant Peach first!  Why don’t you join us?!  It is, of course, by Roald Dahl. Some nice lady on Facebook alerted me to the fact that it is nearly Roald Dahl DAY (on September 13th!) and also it’s the 50 Year Anniversary of James and The Giant Peach too!  And then I found out that you can send a PEACH-A-GRAM to celebrate, too! OH EM GEE!  Why wouldn’t you read with us?!

I am reading aloud, to make an audio book for Ari to keep forever!  Here is how I am doing that.

xx Pip

Have been op shopping in search of the Peach all up and down the hume between Cba and Melb, but no luck but did find lovely old Milly Molly Mandy and decided she'd do until Ro[n]ald appears – that's for the funny lady in Holbrook who just couldn't bring herself to say Roald – you know, that place where the submarine is. Anyway, Ta

I have my copy in my hot little little hands and intend to begin reading it when I go to bed tonight. Can you teach me how to add the button to my blog? (and for that matter…any button? I'm such a blog novice, and slightly technologically stoopid!)
