Some new books arrived in the mail today. I bought this and this. Excited to find time to read them one day soon!

I am in Sydney this coming weekend for a blogger event! And to see my family! Yay!

My friend had a birthday and we made a vegan, middle eastern inspired banquet! Lentils, falafel, a kind of ratatouille, pita bread, kasundi, tomato & cucumber salad, spiced potatoes… yum! Most people had 3 plates full! Happy Birthday Gem! A lot of the inspiration came from this book.

I loved watching Prince George getting on the plane in Sydney. Did you see his little legs and arms flailing with excitement?!

I am hungry. It’s getting colder. Mostly I want to eat toast with kasundi or roasted vegetables. They are my fave thing at the moment. I like to get up early and put some veggies on to roast, make a coffee and then do my reading/exercise. Nice. We bought 10kgs of tomatoes for $10 on Saturday and made a huge batch of kasundi. I made up the recipe but I will try and remember it if you like?

It’s nearly Max’s 18th birthday. Oh. My. Gosh.

I’ve realised I’m not much of a traveller. Do you think some people are just homey?

I’ve been buying music: Marina and the Diamonds, Antony and the Johnsons, Solange, Charli XCX, Timber Timbre. Nice.

I downloaded the audio book version of The Fault In OUR Stars. I have started listening already. Ari has read it and said ‘Mum! You will cry!’ I think we are having our own tiny book club, me and him. The Perks of Being a Wallflower will be next!

What kinds of things are you doing? Are you a bit weary and overwhelmed, like me? Are you remembering to dot your life with spicy deliciousness and good reading and music? (And a bit of trashy/ace TV?!)
