If I put sour cherries on it I would need to eat five pieces. Luckily I only had one. But maybe I will have more… it is that yummy, and I really don’t care to deny myself good things. (It is just that FIVE pieces is probably a bit too much cheesy goodness for anyone, right?!)
You really should make this. It is light and fluffy. It is super good. I had to add more butter than stated to get the biscuit base to work well… and I did not have enough crumbs to go right up the sides, as in the picture bottom right. But that was fine… I like less biscuit and more filling anyway. My oven is a bit weird, so I cooked it for twice as long as stated before it lost it’s wobble and seemed ready to come out and set fully.
Do you want to make this? Do you? You should. It is delicious! I taxied some up the street to my studio buddies at Chez Lady… and Victoria thought it was pretty nice too. (Bec had not eaten hers when I left. You will have to ask her if she liked it..!)
xx Pip

Thank you so much for this! I still remember the taste of my mums from the 70s as a little girl! I could almost cry when I saw the recipe card! She had the yellow plastic box with the same cards and this is her cheesecake! She died when I was 25 so I didn’t get a chance to write down her favs and HERE IT IS! Can’t wait to have a taste sensation down memory lane!
Simply the best cheesecake recipe ever. If it’s not this recipe then it’s not worth the calories to eat it 🙂
