Hello

Pressed Duck?

April 8, 2009

Lucky Duck Press will make you your very own curvy-cornered Letterpress Business Cards, yes, they will! There’s nothing quite like the lettery indentations of a letterpress print, methinks. Very satisfying to handle and a bit swank too!

They print some other good things too – like adorable blank telegrams, change of address cards, thank you notes and even gift vouchers for the letterpress lover in your life! Here is what they say about their Letterpress Business Cards…

————————————————————————————

Need business or calling cards? Love letterpress?

The trouble is, letterpress cards can get expensive and minimum quantities are often too high for individuals or independent businesses. By keeping these designs simple and hand setting the type I can offer a small minimum order – 50 cards – at a low price (convo me if you need more). These cards make a great gift for that small business owner or paper goods enthusiast in your life.

Here’s how it works… You choose the typeface (see photos for options) and color and how you want the text oriented (centered, left, or right), include the text you want in the “comments to seller” or a convo, and I’ll hand print your cards. That’s all. Easy!

If you have type size or other requirements or requests, let me know, otherwise I will set your text to best fit the card and emphasize your name and/or company name.

I can round the corners on the cards for $10 more.

If you’re looking for something more customized, convo me to discuss the particulars.

To sum up:
* Pick a typeface/font
* Pick a color
* Decide how you want the text positioned
* Decide if you want the corners rounded (+$10)
* Place your order and tell me all of the above in the “comments to seller”.
* Wait for your new letterpress printed business cards to arrive and then start impressing people!

Paper: All cards are printed on 110 pound Crane’s Lettra paper, a thick, 100% cotton paper designed specifically for letterpress printing.

Type/font choices are (see the photos too): Caslon, Caslon italic, Caslon open face, Caslon small caps, Engraver’s Shaded, Park Avenue, Whittier, Whittier bold, Shaw Text, Reproducing Typewriter, and Lining Gothic.

Ink colors are: black, chocolate brown, sky blue, teal blue, forest green, lime green, orange, brick red, pink, and dark purple.

    I wish I could teleport to NY right now to buy a swag of their letterpress goodies!

    By the way, I heard your interview on 702AM last night with Andrew Daddo – you were great! Inspiring and witty. The craft domination continues ….

    Cheers,
