I thought we could start a bit of a mini-series on the plugins WordPress bloggers use. We are starting with me! I think this is kind of like looking in someone’s special drawer or handbag. You can tell a lot about a blogger from their plugins, right?
Here’s some of the plugins I really like. You might like them too because HECK they are super useful!
1. Google Analytics Dashboard For WP
I like this because it makes tracking my readers and their happiness much easier. I especially love that is shows ‘REAL TIME’ in my WordPress Dashboard (if I want it to!) I like peeking at who is about as I check in to moderate comments or write a post.
2. Easy Digital Downloads
It’s a tiny bit clunky on my WordPress theme – but this is the plugin I added so that people could download my new eBook. I had to remove the formatting to get it to look okay, but it’s working a treat and I totally recommend it if you want to sell digital files right off of your blog.
3. I Recommend This
This plugin pops that little heart at the top of each of my blog posts. In this day and age when people are too busy to comment, some people click the little heart instead and that makes me happy because I know they’ve been around!
4. Pinterest Automatic Pin
This creates a popup box in your post editing window where you can select the images you want to auto-post to Pinterest. It then posts them at specified intervals to a board you specify. Mine is ‘Ace Things’.
5. Tweetily
This auto tweets your posts (not just the most recent ones) at specified intervals. You can choose to exclude particular posts and also adjust the interval (mine are every 5 hours, I think!) A good way to get older posts active again without having to choose them yourself, manually.
NB: Remember to make sure plugins you upload are compatible with your version of WordPress.

Super handy post Pip (as always)! Thanks!!
I find it hard to pick the good plugins from the chaff sometimes. Tweetily sounds particularly handy – I didn’t know you could do that!
It’s so fancy, right? I always get a surprise when it surfaces some older posts that I like – super handy! x
