Hello Pip-Life

:: Pip’s Carcast :: Episode One

October 25, 2011

Click to listen!  Recorded in my hi-tech sound booth (aka car) in the parking lot at school!  (Be warned, I ‘tsk’ a lot!)

NOTES :: Mentioned in this Carcast….

Women of Letters :: a literary salon held in Melbourne, Sydney and further afield.  The book which was launched last night by Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire (and a cast of awesomeness, esp Lorelei Vashti, Peggy Frew, Helen Marcou and The Breakfasters!) is here and the events and other good things are here.
A peeing pig :: the pig (called Polly) lives at Edgar’s Mission, an animal sanctuary supported by Women of Letters. Why not click over and see the good work they do, perhaps you can support then in some way?!
Clare Bowditch :: is here :: I bet you love her lots!
Angie Hart :: is here :: apparently she is a bit shy too!
The Age video I filmed yesterday is online here! It is dorky and funny : go see!
And multi-talented Libby Chow (the cute rad lady who filmed me for The Age!) is here!  She’s adorable and clever and musical and filmy!
My gift guide Good Stuff is out on November 7th right here!  I am working hard on it!
This American Life : the podcast I chatted about is here : a particularly excellent ep from Ira, for sure!

Yay! Hope you like Carcasts!  I will see you soon!

xx Pip

PS :: This is a great past post on my blog :: The Kitchen Sisters

I enjoyed the car cast. I noticed that you couldnt say car cast without a little stifled giggle yet you breezed through saying hot tips which I cant't type without laughing. Bring on episode 2. Laurie Freeman

PS. you sound super cute! Kinda how I imagine I sound like but actually don't ๐Ÿ˜›

That was super cute Pip. I liked your first carcast and I also like the fact that you had 6 weeks worth of folding to do. I'm glad I'm not the only one in that boat. Currently my luandry folding station, couch and bedroom have loads of laundy to be folded. And since I don't have time (or want to make time) I am avoiding it like the plague. Each day starts with "what can I wear to work today that doesn't require ironing".

  • Annika October 25, 2011 at 8:41 PM

You have an amazingly lovely voice! I liked it when you spotted Max at the end. And that laundry does not seem to fold itself at your house either (just like at mine!).

Oh I was loving the Carcast! What a great use of time, sitting waiting for the kids to emerge!

So far I've only listened to your Carcast, and then I watched your Age pressie wrapping video – you are so sweet, and I love your Christmassy ideas. I did also spy your very big roll of red and white bakers' twine, which I am now coveting! – Vee and I have a roll, but it is only small.

I will click on the rest of the links later tonight when I have more time (I am supposed to be cooking dinner right now…). Thanks so much as always Pip! Cat
