:: Pick-Me-Up : Jars Of Flowers

February 28, 2012
I guess you might think that this is the domain of weddings and bride and grooms and ‘zillas of the matrimonial kind.  But actually, why wait for a wedding to bust out some jumbly, random, pretty, informal arrangements? I think that these have a perfect place in the everyday home, don’t you?  Why on earth would you save them for one special day, when you can have them every day?!
One of my fave florally images of all time! Via Once Wed : Photography by Max Wanger

Which are your faves?  Are you going to do this at your house?  I am going to. I will show you soon!

    Yes πŸ™‚ Reading Wedding magazines reminded me how much I love flowers and thus we've had jars of flowers round the house regularly since I got engaged! Casa Verde in North Melbourne has some lovely roses that are perfect for jar arrangements.

    I hated dahlias growing up, so nanna-ish, daggy.
    Now that my nan is gone, I am rapt they are back in, they make me smile and remember her garden, full of dahlias, roses, daisies

    Beautiful Pip, I especially love the first pic. I would do this with my roses except that this year my roses have been pitiful, must be the weird weather patterns.

    The little blue flowers are Muscari, aka grape hyacinths.
