Hello

Oooh Christmassy-Ness! Pop a Cracker!

December 16, 2006
Oh joy of joys! Today we came over all lovely and Christmassy! We found some big bags of old Christmas Bon-bons from the early 70s (maybe) at the op-shop. They were pretty foil wrapped treats – with little pussy cats wearing sweet outfits glued to the outside. We popped all but one – inside were tiny little plastic toys – whistles, monkeys, elephants, a bird hatching from a little egg, motorbikes and a ring with a little lavender coloured stone… The surviving one is the blue one on the left – it is hanging on our pin-board winking at us and when we shake it something thunks inside it! We wonder what it is! But if we crack it open then we will have NONE! sigh! Hurrah for Christmas bon-bons!

We also bought some bags of decorations from the Salvation Army.. they are divine! Little balls festooned with sequins and beads like rejects from a Bollywood film.. can’t wait to put them on the tree.. but where is that tree.. somewhere in the garage we think.. tomorrow we will find the tree and put it up and argue over where to put all the baubles and sparkles!

We found a couple of lovely books too – ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ by Brian Wildsmith and ‘The Runaway Bunny’ by Margaret Wise Brown.

Allison dropped in her lovely things today too! And we have lots more things coming from Anna-Laura and Lt La Miki next week too! And we got new stuff from Corky Saint Clair also!

Come and check out all the new lovely things!
xx mikes
