:: Miso Sick…

June 10, 2011

image via this lovely Flickr (recipe is over there too!)

Not only has my internet been slowed to snaily pace due to the whole family streaming the crap out of it… but I am sick.  I was a bit sick and now I am completely sick. I am coughing like there is no tomorrow.  I am coughing myself a bit inside out, really.  Oh well.   Never mind.  I have a hot water bottle tucked into my shirt, Vicks on my chest and a hot bath calling my name.  That will help.  Plus I am watching South Riding (thanks Mum!)  David Morrissey fixes most things, I find.  And I am sort of a bit working on Max’s blanket.  Do you think I will be better tomorrow?  Say yes.

If I am a bit quiet or tardy on the old email, well you’ll know it’s because I am under the doona.  And also because it takes 238 hours to do a blog post at this internet speed. Sheesh.  I have had a few emails about really good things I need to blog about.  I PROMISE I will do that next week when my internet is back on par.

For now, though, I guess it’s time to slow down…

xx Pip

1/ Great, funny blog title – that earns you a star * for being sick and still funny.

2/ I hope you feel better soon, being sick is the pits.

3/ Speaking of hot water bottles, when your internet is back up to its normal level of tootleness, pop over to Cams and see the Hottie Challenge posts. They are fun and the people doing it are clever clogs (including me)!

    http://curlypops.blogspot.com/search/label/the%20hottie%20challenge

4/ And savethechildren.org.au are calling out for people to knit for them, have you heard those ads on the radio? Maybe the MeetMeAtMikes people want to know about that?

    http://www.savethechildren.org.au/what-you-can-do/campaigns/born-to-knit.html

5/ Word verification is "staph" – that's so not funny on a blog about being sick. Staph (golden or otherwise) should get stuffed.

6/ Number 3 kid had to go to an interview for getting into a special program for high school next year and had to take something she was proud of. She took her school work and her pictures of the softie she made as well as your front window pic of the Softies for Mirabel campaign.

7/ I could prattle on about lots of random stuff here and how it relates to you, like for instance Megan Follows was on House last week, which made me think of you because she was the Anne of Green Gables that I watched when I was younger and read the books again recently because of you.

8/ I will save you from more ramblings because who's got the energy to read me when you are feeling well, let alone poorly.

    9/ Seriously, I'm done now.

    10/ I'm stopping typing, it's cold and my fingers aren't co-operating.

    11/ Bye!

i totally sympathise. me too. the constant tickly urge to cough the sore razor blade throat is relentless and the aches from all the coughing are so…achey! made all the worse by not getting a chance to rest and recover. i hate feeling sick and useless!
hope you bounce back quick pip.

P.S my word verification is PIMPLE!

Take it easy Pip! Get well soon x
