Watch out! The Mirabel Foundation have taken the wheel on the Mikes blog today! Here’s what they have to say… don’t drive too fast girls!
Dear All,
We just can’t thank you enough for all of the softies you made for the Mirabel children. Each soft toy was a piece of artwork and we know the children will love them to bits. Our most sincere thanks to everyone that lovingly created a soft toy. You are all wonderful!
All the best,
The Team at Mirabel
I also received a copy of ‘The Damage Undone’ yesterday. It tells the story of Mirabel’s fantastic founder, Jane Rowe. Detailing her journey from private school girl to London’s punkster to children’s advocate. Read for yourself how the The Mirabel Foundation was founded – and what motivated Jane to actually get off her butt and do something to make a difference.
I have a cute photo of some of the Softies to upload later today, too – but Blogger won’t let me do it yet! So stay tuned for that! Thanks to you Mirabel for letting us help you with this!
xx mikes

such a kind and thoughtful thank you from the mirabel…
you started a wonderful thing, pip! thank YOU!
That was lovely of them to let you know how much they were appreciated. And love that the kids got involved as well. Off to check out Brown Owl!
Congratulations on the Mirabel Foundation toys – I saw some on Angela’s blog and they look great.
I have just caught up on your previous blogs and was disappointed to read about you closing the Bridge Road store. I am not surprised (they seem set on overcharging all of the non-chain stores out of the area) but you will be a great loss.
Sounds like you are busy busy busy, and I am looking forward to your Brown Owl project. Good luck with it all and hopefully I will manage to drop into the Fitzroy store soon.
