Hello!
We went to the market this morning. I dragged Ari out of bed, because he thought he’d like to go. And Cam got up too. We left home at around half past seven and chugged over to Camberwell. We got some good things (above) and ran into Emma and drank coffee, too. Then we came home and had breakfast and Ari fell asleep on the couch for a few hours. I think he’s still tonsilly. Ugh. It’s camp on Tuesday so I hope he is better by then! Yikes. Nothing worse than missing camp when you’ve just developed a completely urgey enthusiasm for it.
In other news I looked on Amazon UK and noticed that there were a couple of unhappy reviews of Make Hey! Oh no! Well… I love Make Hey! so I can totally deal with whatever is thrown at me about it. It’s just the way I’d want it to be. It’s super special to me for lots of reasons! If you bought my book, would you mind reviewing it in your own way here? That would be dandy, because it would be good to have a broad range of reviews to balance out the unhappy ones.
Also school goes back tomorrow. I hate that. I love that. What is that all about? Do you ever feel like that?! I REALLY miss them when they are gone, but they drive me a tiny bit nuts when they are home a lot too. File me in the Bad Mothers Department.
I’ve been crocheting the border on Spike’s blanket. I’ve been playing around on my new Mac. I’ve been sky ping with friends and family. It’s been pretty nice! I love these Autumn days. It’s SUCH a beautiful time of the year in my town.
How is it in your town today?
xx Pip

That is one awesome bucket! x
OMG! My grandmother had one of those white things for sugar (sukker). In Denmark. Cannot believe that one just like it could be bought at a market in Australia. Nice find. Super nostalgia on my part. Grandma's kitchen.
What a great find – a deep sea psuedo-Wedgewood confection of a beach bucket! I would have snaffled that up too!
Oh gosh that beach bucket takes me way back! I had one of those. You know you really do deserve a special award for finding us all these wonderful things to look at or to make, or alerting us to things we might like to know. Thank you lovely Pip, you really are ACE xxx,I'm wishing we could start the Easter hols all over again and that we had a Market like yours near us – great finds!
I totally understand your love/hate relationship with back-to-school-day, I feel exactly the same way! Also, I guess not everyone in the world will like what you do, even when you've worked so hard and produced something so very excellent…but it was lovely to see you left those people a gracious comment anyway.
i love that pail, and i don't know how anyone could ever say something bad about any of your work! ugh.
Thanks for sharing, I will follow by email on my way out so I know the path back to your special place and I don't miss a post. I hope you will find the time to come visit me soon and do the same. I look forward to supporting and engaging together. Cheers SpecialK XoXo

Oh Pip, I can't believe that someone could write a bad review of Make Hey! I LOVED it! It was my favourite of yours so far. My first sewing project on my new machine was the wine bottle tote bags, and it's such a beautiful looking book. I will review it now xo
