I’ve been very busy running The Wishing Flowers workshop at Melbourne’s NGV (National Gallery of Victoria), but I thought I would pop in and show you what we’ve been doing. (Just in case you haven’t seen it on social media yet!)
We’re making paper flowers, and planting them in a vertical Wishing Garden, as a kind of homage to Andy Warhol and Ai Weiwei. When you plant a flower, you make a wish. Every day the wishes and the garden are growing. Every day hundreds of kids and their parents are joining in. How great!

It looks so cute, right? It looks even nicer in real life. SUPER pretty, in fact.
I’ll be back here later in the week, once The Wishing Flowers are finished (and I’ll show you the end result!)
If you are in Melbourne, The Wishing Garden is on display in the NGV’s Great Hall until Australia Day. And you can come and help make flowers on Tuesday and Wednesday (between 10am and 3pm!)
You can also check out all the other fun kids activities here. They are all free!
See you soon!
