A slice of someone’s life. So many patterns and bright colours and so homey-sweet! Someone has lived many years here, I think. Lots of visitors have sat at the kitchen table. Lots of things have been hung on that clothesline. Do you know what? You can buy this house! It’s listed here. Thanks to Gemma for the tip!
xx Pip

what a perfect home!!!!!!!!
Oh my! I would love to own this house! I hope whoever does buy it, leaves it pretty much as is. Such a dear little house.
I feel for this house though.. someone is probably going to knock it down or strip it from it's character 🙁 I love those doors… maybe I should go to the auction, see who buys it and then ask them what they plan to do to the house…
love footescray and wow wish I could move here. Love the lay of carpet and paper.
happy weekend to you Pip

That house has every thing going for it. And who wouldn't want to live on batman street?!
love those wallpapers, hope whoever buys it does too!
Beautiful garden too, and you'd get to live on Batman street- just keeps getting better.
Thanks for sharing.
I love all the shoes lined up under the wardrobes in the bedroom! And front fences like that make houses look friendly, they're the type kids can easily leap over to visit their best mate next door! Plus its in Batman st I know that's not unusual in Melbs but it's so damn cool…
What a wonderful house – so full of personality.
oh wow! That is suburban perfection! I too also hope that whoever buys it appreciates it for the gem that it is. Thanks for sharing this!
$600,000! i can't believe that! its cute and all, but mumma mia!
Hi Pip.
I love it! I hope the person who buys it loves it too and doesn't knock it down or build units. God forbid. It happens all the time around here now and it makes me feel so sad.
BTW, the house nerd in me wants to tell you that it looks like a "Bank Bungalow". When soldiers came back from WW1, the State Savings Bank of Victoria gave them loans to build homes from a selection of plans or "types". It has the classic look of one of these homes. Our home is one, and I love the romance of the history.
Here is a website that will tell you a little bit more about them:

And I'm thinking it looks like a Type T10

I did warn you. Total nerd … XXX
i love this! cute doors and windows too…i had to click through and see the rest of the pics. it looks purposely kitschy styled but i'm guessing it's all original – brilliant!! wish i had the spare change.
reminds me of my nannas, sooo welcoming!
