Are you on Google Plus? I only ask because I am a huge fan and I think it is so much cleaner and easier to use than Facebook. Perhaps you are not on Facebook. Do you know what you are? Well adjusted. I, however, am not well adjusted. I am on Facebook AND Google Plus. Let’s be pals, okay? If you are the well adjusted kind, we can still be pals right here, because I don’t like to hang out ONLY with social media addicts like myself. (If you want to search me up, I am Pip Lincolne. Mostly I am just posting nice links over there, recipes and crafty projects and generally positive things! AND I made friends with this great guy on my third day of G Plussing!)
In other news we have been trying to find a new doggy. We just missed out on one we super really wanted, due to some admin issues at the Dog Rescue place. Their server is eating all their emails, or perhaps their dogs are, so they did not even receive a single one of the emails/applications we sent (even our friends sent emails, so that server/those dogs are super hungry for emails.) I guess we just defrag and get over the ‘loss’ of the dog we missed out on, and then keep trying. Sigh. We really want a lovely gentle dog as a friend to Lucky. Since Rochester, the magpie, flew away Lucky is really a bit lost.
Elsewhere, I have been working on my new book, mostly, and hanging with the kids and making a huge amount of food. Ari has all of a sudden got the appetite of a whole swimming squad (after previously having the appetite of a gathering of butterflies.) Phew. So it’s dahl, lasagna, Provencal chicken, butter chicken, tuna rice ahoy! Methinks he is growing up and will soon be driving me to school.
Pom Poms have started arriving for The Pom Pom Project! So that is exciting! They are SO SO SO great! Look at those photos up there! They are Pom Poms made by The Peregrine School in Nicholls Rivulet in Tassie! HOW GREAT! Please click here to see what it’s all about, and find out about making Pom Poms.
Our car got smashed into about a month ago. Someone ran a red light and whammed straight in to the front of it. So we had a hire car for a wee while and now we are carless while she gets fixed up. It is quite relaxing not having a car, but also quite easy when it’s school holidays. Next week school goes back and we might have to hire a car if we don’t get our trusty wheels back in time. Bum. $5000 worth of damage! Lucky no one got hurt and I was actually at home on the couch when this happened. I think that is the best place to be if there is a smash. Yes.
Also, I should tell you that my blog is going to become a fully fledged website in the coming months. There will still be the same old Pip bloggy content, but also some other good stuff, sorted nicely into categories for ease of reading. I have so much stuff that I want to carry on about (in the nicest way.) People send me information about cool things they are doing every single day, but it doesn’t feel right to post it on my personal blog, so I am making room for it in other places.
What are you up to? Do tell! Is it cold where you are? It’s freezing here!
xx Pip

Hello Pip, I had a look at your Google Plus page, it does look lovely and clean. I have never been a big fan of facebook and I am very excited that there is something new…and better! I have registered for an invite, hopefully see you on there soon 🙂 Thanks Pip!
OMG EVA! I so want to see! I bet they are TOTES fancier than mine! Thank you!!! Yes!! Yay!!!!
Pip guess what!!!
I was op shopping the other day.. (I'm always op shopping the other day) and i stumbled across an old crochet magazine.. and GUESS WHAT it had in it?! 5 designs for crochet glass baubles!! No jokes! When I saw it my eyes popped out and I thought.. I must scan these and send them to Pip, then she can make her next Christmas tree even MORE awesome (if that's even possible!) Would you be interested in seeing the patterns? If so, I'll scan them next time I have access to one.
Much love,
Eva
Hi Pip
We have two great rescue dogs that we wouldn't be without. We found them both here at
http://www.petrescue.com.au/
Lots of different rescue places in all states to search in one place.
These are my two doggies

I've boycotted Facebook – I just don't like it for a number of reasons (the awful design being one of them) – so I'm really happy about Google Plus & hope it takes off!
As for what I'm up to…I'm putting the final little finishing touches to my own new blog. What an enormous project it's been! Just rustling together my contact page & I'm ready to go!
Can't wait to see what you have in store for your site!
It is hot over on this side of the globe. Your pompoms are very bright, I like them. We have several in Christmas colors our kids have made over the years. They are a lot of fun.
It is a shame a technical error caused you to lose out on the dog, but I firmly believe, the love you show, by wanting to share your life with a dog in need of a mom, will come back to you through the right dog.
I have enjoyed reading your blog and did look you up on Facebook. I have been waiting on Google + and wanted to know if you have any invitations left?
Good luck finding the right dog for your family – sucks that you missed out on the other one – but things happen for a reason, right? (Unless you hate that saying then forget I ever said it). I love the crazy colours of those pom poms and yes it's FREEZING where I am!
I will have to drop mine off at your shop as I am hopeless at getting to the post office!!!
Hello Pip! I am on Google + and I just added you to my circle. Let's be friends!
The pompoms are so cute! I recognise some of the yarns they have used. Am I a crochet tragic or what!? I have made my first one, forgot how satisfying it is when you cut the threads and open up a fluffy pompom!!
Ps – my verification code was "rests". I very much hope Jessi's theory that they predict the future is correct!!
I had friends try to adopt a dog from there – they said it would have been an easier process to adopt a human baby! They love their doggies so are super careful I suppose.
I do recommend the Lost Dog's Home or Lort Smith, where we got our beloved dog, you just front up, check them out and they're yours! (I suggest going weekdays so there's less competition, they get snapped up pretty quick).
Just popped across to 'see you' on Google Plus, but don't really know what to do next. Do we 'friend' you in some way? Should I just find a tutorial or something? It is nice and 'clean' looking over there…
oh poor you… missing out on the doggy you wanted sucks!! You had a magpie???
It is bloody cold isn't it?
x
my verification was "PUPsince" .. a sign that a pup is around the corner perhaps?
Yes, it's cold Pip, I've returned from walking my dogs, we got so wet and then once inside the sun came out. Just my luck. I've made some pom poms and I need a day out can I drop them at your shop one day next week?
Oh I'm so sorry about Petal! I hope she has gone to live with someone who loves her just as much as you would have. 🙁
