I had a Cindy doll when I was about six years of age. When I was in grade one I was baby-sat by a teenager who would bring her Cindy doll over for me to play with. Cindy wore a gorgeous gold evening dress and her hair was one giant blond dreadlock. I though she was simply lovely. The baby sitter let me keep Cindy, and she remained in my doll collection for a big part of my childhood.
