A few terms you might want to know more about…
Blogger: A blogging platform, sometimes called Blogspot, owned by Google.

Domain Name Registrar or Reseller: A company that sells domain names! Crazy Domains, for instance.
DNS: Domain Name System, Service or Server!
Fantastico: A way to install WordPress and other software from your hosting cPanel
Google Analytics: A platform for measuring site traffic
Hostgator: A web hosting and domain name hosting service.
Hosting: Hosting is done by web servers. Hosting can be used to store data for blogs and other websites, but can also store media, games and other bits and bobs.
Hosting Company: A company who sells space on their servers and provides support to the sites it hosts (hopefully!) Hostgator is an example.
IP Address: Internet Protocol address. An IP address is an identifier for computers and other devices operating on a network.
Migration: Moving blog content and links to a new platform. Call in the professionals!
Name Servers: Domain Name Servers translate domain names into IP adresses.
PI: Page impression – the number of times your page has appeared.
PV: Page view – the number of times your pages has been clicked and opened.
Propagate: When the host’s server finally loads all your data onto your new blog
QuickInstall: A way to install WordPress directly from your hosting control panel.
SEO: Search engine optimisation

Template: A template is pre-designed, customisable code which dictates fonts, style, formatting and other elements found on a Web page. Blogger refers to its page coding as a template.
Theme: A theme is pre-designed, customisable code which dictates fonts, style, formatting and other elements found on a Web page. WordPress refers to its page coding as a theme.
URL: Uniform Resource Locator: The global address of online content.
UV: Unique Visitor – Different visitors arriving from different IP addresses.
Visits – A count of all visits to your site – may include duplicate visitors (the same people returning over and over)
