Floresita’s Week of Embroidery – Day One

March 24, 2008

Days of the Week Puppies

I’m in love with DOW (Days of the Week) patterns. There’s something so sweet about animals or anthropomorphized vegetables, pots or pans doing a different chore every day. I never get tired of their endless variations – this one is an early Vogart pattern from the late 40’s or 50’s.

Days of the Week are just the best – Days of Week hankies, Days of Week teatowels, Days of Week undies! It’s so very important to be organised!

    Thank you Floresita!

My mom taught me to stitch on a pattern similar to this one, although I’ve never seen it again (and I have looked a lot!). It was a little girl dog sitting on a chair in a dress and sewing. These days of the week dogs reminds me of her 😉 Thanks for the cute pictures!
