Hello!
Have you been over to the Granny A Day Flickr group? There are over 300 photos of granny squares that 100 (to date!) crafty people have been working on. It’s granny-licious, I’m telling you! Full of excellent inspiration and some really colourful quirky images too!
My Paper Crane uploaded this gorgeous photo over there, and a link to the flowery crochet tutorial she used – so I snatched some time to have a go at it this afternoon. Such a pretty pattern, isn’t it?! That’s my first flowery square above.
I kind of changed the last couple of rounds, once I knew where I was, so that I was on more familiar crochet territory, but I think it turned out pretty cute (if a little wonky – I won’t show you the back!). Maybe you would like to have a go at Rosehip‘s tutorial too? Thank you Ms Heidi K for pointing us all in a floral direction – a nice route to try, I think!
And do you know what else you’ll find over there? A photo of Kootoyoo‘s super cute mini-granny square necklace. You can find out how to make a granny square necklace over here.
Hope you’re having fun grannying along!
xx Pip
