- Make lists of things you have already done, so you can tick them off and feel accomplished. Maybe just watch tv all day after that, and pretend you are tired.
- Wear a poncho on a swing
- Lovingly pat every dog you see and also ask them how their day has been, because not many people do that.
- Draw on your shoes, because then they will be bespoke and you will feel fancy
- Drink everything through a bendy straw, even if you are in a cafe.. ESPECIALLY if you are in a cafe. Bendy straws are the new moustaches.
Got any tips? More HAPPY here!

I like Annas idea too-skipping- but Id like to add "smile at strangers", its always nice when they smile back but its a bit funny when u see their confused look & you know they are thinking why did that strange girl smile at me? Do I know her?' lol
Hello Mike or whoever you are!
I really enjoyed your blog. It is just my style, crafty and vintage, creative and funny. I especially enjoy this one. I was so inspired that I decided to make a similar yet different enough post of my own.

Hi Pip! I've made the babyshoes out of your first book, it was great fun! Thank you for the great book with ideas. A photo can be found at my blog! Cheers, Imke
I LOOOOVE tip number 3. I always do that!!! I think people under estimate how much animals understand us.
"Make lists of things you have already done, so you can tick them off and feel accomplished. Maybe just watch tv all day after that, and pretend you are tired." Love that!
I always pat dogs, dogs know if you truly like them, they can spot fakers a mile off.
We always have bendy straws at home. Don't think I could drink my Milo without them.
this really made me smile…I had a bit of a cruddy day…just got in a grump, but the one about asking the dog how their day has been…that especially made me smile!
Thank you. This makes me happy!!
You are so right with all of them. I hesitate with bendy straws because they're so hard to clean milk out of… but I think I should stop being such a fuddy and go bendy again. I think SKIPPING is a happy thing too. More happy when you have supportive underwear too.
In the morning I like to drink my orange juice out of a really big crystal wine glass. Makes me feel like royalty.
I do the third step with my Jack every single day. And he answers me with his eyes and his tail! No matter what the day has thrown at me, he just stitches it all up and makes my heart sing!
Haha, excellent list! Asking dogs how they are is always a good move.
I'm feeling cheerful already
Excellent. Happy tips much needed as it's my little man's last day of Primary School today and Mummy is feeling it big time. 🙁
Hehe! Love these. Mine is simple: Make something.
Love it. Love it. Love it.
"Bendy straws are the new moustaches."
= Best quote I've read all day… make that, week… no, month.
well i patted some moss on some wood today and that felt nice and it did make me happy. sue
I like bendy straws, I also like stripey paper straws like when I was a kid. I never did like them then cause they would get crushed and soggy and then you couldn't slurp your milkshake, but now I'm old enough to avoid doing that.
Yep, that number one sounds awesome. Reinforce what we HAVE done not what we haven't. Yay Pip. X
Oh my goodness , dogs are thee secret to happiness!
I tell my dude how handsome he is and then off for a walk…that's another sure fire happiness trick, walk, walk, walk…in the rain and wind especially
I'm always asking dogs except I don't ask if they had a good day, I ask if they had a good daisy, because it's cuter!
Xx
Thank you for such lovely tips, I especially like the dog patting!
Lovingly pat every dog you see and also ask them how their day has been, because not many people do that.
I actually do this once a day, but only with one certain dog.
My mission is to find more dogs and ask them questions!
Wearing ponchos in the key to happiness.
When you want to bake but just don't have the energy or ingredients pop on an episode of Rachel Allen and PRETEND you are her. ;p
hahaaaaaaa these tips are excellent!
I'm with you on the bendy straws! I often drink from my niece's colourful plastic twirly straws that I bought… I bought them for her, of course.. hehe.
went it's raining all over your enthusiasm and motivation have a steaming cup of tea and watch the rain.
