Yup… I didn’t turn on my computer for FIVE days! It’s just not like me… but a recharge and some Christmassyness were just what I needed! We’ve been having nice times and eating nice stuff. We made these gingerbread animals on Christmas Eve…. and I made this tart too.
And I made this chocolate cake, and this bread, and this tortilla and this really lovely honeyed eggplant dish and this delicious panzanella too! Let me know if you want any recipes!
I’m really excited about the coming year, so many nice people and lovely projects! I can’t wait! But I have to – because I started packing yesterday and we are moving in just under two weeks! So… that’s first order of the day, followed by unpacking and then generally getting on with it all!
Today I am cooking something delicious – yet to be decided. Packing. Working on a few things for the BOOK… and catching up on some blogs I have been missing!
I wonder if there is anyone out there…. or if you are all doing Christmassy, holiday-y or beach-y things!
xx mikes

Those gingerbread cookies look adorable. Well done on all the festive cooking. I didn’t have a tree this year. I found a branch walking along Regent’s Canal in London. A Christmas branch! It’s lovely and branch-y and covered in lichen. And lots and lots of birds and white fairy lights. Pretty! Happy Christmas, xxx

Ooh I’m obsessed with eggplant at the moment so I’d love the recipe for that if you feel like sharing!

Ok, so we’re moving & had a quiet Christmas just the 6 of us, & i confess, i packed the linen cupboard ON Christmas Day, but it’s all good . . . plenty of lovely books & games for the children.
