OK .. here we go!
D is for
Dachshund..
As in Moca.. Brooke’s cute dog who ‘ wufs’ and ‘boings’ to his hearts’ delight!
Dustin Hoffman
A spunk then.. a spunk now.. didn’t come over all weird like Bill Murray has.. always true to himself.. Beat Robin Williams to the cross dressing thing by a long shot.
Dingle-Dangle Scarecrow…
A childhood song – often revered on Playschool – and one of Rin’s favourites, complete with actions. I can belt out a mean dingle-dangle.. complete with limp, marionette like movements that spring to life a la Bartuccio dancer!
Doona
Never enough doona.. in our bed.. whether it’s Ari or Cam bunking down in the big bed.. the doona-roll-and-claim is a signature move in our house.. and I am OFTEN left out in the cold! Note to self – purchase sleeping bag for guaranteed all night blanketness.
Dinner
I cook dinner about half the time or less.. I always cook just enough so that everyone can have a second serve.. and a third serve the next day.. Suffice to say I cook for 5 and cater for 10! Cam cooks dinner on the other nights – and always cooks just enough for dinner. Go figure!
Divine
A word i often use. Not in the biblical sense.. but more in the Patsy and Edwina Ab Fab sense.. omigosh, that print is DIVINE! You bag is DIVINE! That donut was DIVINE! Live and learn.
Door
One door seperates my private home-life (think leggings, nanna petticoat and slip) and my work life (think all of the above, with a dress whacked over the top). This is often why I may appear at Mikes sans shoes & lippy. It is tricky and ace at the same time! I love being near work all the time – as I can always make sure things are just perfect. But when I am feeling like crawling under a rock – and a vistor lurks just through the door… it can be hard.
Delight
You should feel delighted every day. And if you don’t – the come and talk to me about things like fabric, crafty people, kids books, teapots and knitted socks – I’ll give you a daily dose of delight – and you deserve it!
Donkey
Often laughed at (like aforesaid alpacas). I LOVE DONKEYS. They are weird, slightly mankey and utterly gorgeous. They have excellent eyelashes and easily frayed tempers. The cartoon character of the equine world – every paddock deserves a donkey.
xx mikes

WOW I just found this blog today. Just the other day I started a blog called “a few of my favourite things” and I post things I like going through the alphabet. WEIRD.
Also, I used to live on a farm with my family and we had a donkey and her name was Cricket. She is still around now. I think she’d be almost twenty. She has 100 acres to roam about it and is friends with the cows.
oh i just love this game…i shall start when i get the internet!!!
Much love to you and your intersting blogs
