The prolific and pretty Gemma Jones and I have come up with this fun new blog! It’s an online directory of wonderful local places to visit, for crafty people like us! Organised by suburb and pursuit… you will be able to search for crafty places in ‘FITZROY’ or all the places we think you’ll love if you’re into ‘SEWING’! We’ve started with reviews of a few of our favourites – but we need YOU to send us your reviews! We KNOW you have lots of great tips to share, be it your favourite Crafternoon cafe… or your favourite place to buy very big bottles of glue!
If you know a wonderful craft store, cafe, piece of street art, gallery, fabric shop, typewriter ribbon shop, asian grocer with gorgeous paper, cheap polaroid film supplier…. you get the drift… Why not share the love with other likeminded souls?! Check the site for submission guidelines and get writing (and clicking!).
The idea is that you can just click on a suburb and find all the places that creative types just like you love. Print out your faves – and voila… an instant Crafternoon in whichever suburb you clicked! We’re just starting out – (and we didn’t want to review all the best places before we asked you to help!) – and we NEED YOUR help! The more reviews we receive, the more fun people will have visiting YOUR favourite places! You never know who you might be jostling up against at the check-out… could be someone absolutely super-lovely that YOU have shared the crafty love with! (Perhaps you could ask them out for coffee?!)
