Last Friday Kirsty swung by my house and we headed to Grub Food Van. As I climbed into her car I had to double-take. She was wearing a dude style oversized argyle knit. I was wearing a dude’s plaid shirt. We were dude-ing it up. Apparently it was Boyfriend Friday!
We headed off to our boysie lunch of jaffles and coffee and chattered about all kinds of things that dudes probably don’t. All this was made even greater by the comfy dude looks we were sporting. Or not sporting, really. Dress like a dude and not only will you be relieved at the smooshiness of it all, no one will even care what you are wearing because you’re flying cutely under the fashion radar.
It might be a shirt or some fella’s pants. Maybe it’s your bloke’s watch or some dude shoes? A tie? A nice blazer? Your boyfriend’s scarf? A men’s thrifted hat? Really it’s up to you! Kinda great to take the focus off lady style and go for something more practical and solid, don’t you think?!
