Of course you know what a bloge is, right? I knew you would. That’s why I called this post Bloges. Because I don’t talk down to you, I know you are a smart cookie and you know heapso good stuff, even things I don’t know (not difficult BTW). And you know that a Bloge is a blog written by a bloke. You didn’t even need me to tell you that, did you? You are yawning now and picking hundreds and thousands from under your fingernail or some such thing. You are waiting for me to chat Bloges with you, right?
Well. Here are some of my fave Bloges at the moment. I am always looking for new Bloges, so if you have any good ones then let me know so I can go and hang with more nice fellas.
Whole Larder Love :: this is Justine’s friend Rohan’s blog. I did meet him once. He’s really nice. Yep. If you look at his blog you will find outdoorsyness, foodieness and general good-life-ness. These are all very apt adjectives that I have created in honour of Rohan and his Larder Love Family. You should be warned that you might start looking at rural real estate after you visit this blog. And you might want to drag out a big pot with a thick bottom and make something comforting and rustic to encourage your own thick bottom.
Knitxcore :: is Robbie. Robbie visits my blog and I visit his blog. It would be better if we lived near each other, so that we could REALLY visit each other. That would be heaps totes better. In the mean time I like to click over for boy-style yarning and music and slice of life nice. Do you like slice of life nice? Knitxcore is cut just right. Not too much, not too little, best taken with a cup of tea.
The Shy Lion :: I have posted about main mane man Shy Lion before. But that doesn’t bother me a titch because I like repetition, especially when it is a super fave. The Shy Lion makes really cute stuff and works in a yarn store and I made friends with him on Google Plus and now I think we are in some kind of a woolly gang. He, on the other hand, does not think that. Please do not tell him, because my fangirlness will be totes sprung and I will have to rename my blog Bleat Me At Mikes or some other sheepish thing.
Who are your fave Blogers?
xx Pip

It is a total Bloge-Fest! OMG! Such good Bloges, too!! Merci beaucoup!
Hey Pip;
My bloge is still young and unformed, unlike me – old and overworked. Nevertheless: http://www.bookofpete.com/
imma bloge! thanks pip, you're a dreamboat ๐
Pippsie! Are you a bloge stalker?

my son (12) is new to the Bloge-o-sphere…but he's started putting up his writing…it's awfully dark, but, he's a 12 year old boy. He delights in collage and likes craft markets that he can buy 'boy stuff' at. In the years to come, I can imagine him writing about writing, conceptual art, music and crafting…will have to show him some of these fine men's work so that he can follow in their virtual footsteps!
I'm loving all of this!..now where to start and whom to read first…
I love the Shy Lion too. I found him when you mentioned him in your previous blog and the minute I saw him in his handmade green hat I thought "I wish that guy lived next door to me". I'd bake him things so I would have an excuse to visit and talk yarns, hooks and all things crochet. He is tops.
Male Pattern Boldness is a lot of fun.
You, Madam, are an angel. Thank you for featuring my blog.. ahem… bloge (best word ever). I must say, however, that I have a correction to make. I, The Shy Lion, also feels that we are in some kind of a woolly gang (which I strongly believe there ought to be more of). ^_^
To conclude, my offering for an excellent blog is Tony's Bonito Club – bonitoclub.wordpress.com which offers more yarny goodness from a fellow's perspective.
I also like Ryan at Pacing the Panic Room. Then of course there's Peter at Male Pattern Boldness. He's a hoot. Don Madden at Fully Flummoxed and Joel at Made By Joel are also way cool.
Going to check 'em out! How come most crafty, cooky, lifestyly blogs are written by ladies, though? Or do I just not know about the bloges?
Bloges lol
I love…
The Fox is Black http://thefoxisblack.com/
Old Brand New

Both from LA, always inspiring…
I had no idea – I thought it must have been a blog awards thing (was mentally pronouncing it Blogie)!
Oo I'm quite stoked because that's what I thought it meant.
and if you did make up the word, it's an awesome one xo
Just read your recent comment! Well, you are very creative! I think it was an excellent word!
I had no idea! Thanks for teaching me something new ๐
It is possible that I made the word Bloge up. It is QUITE possible…
I love Franklin Habit, one of my first fave blog s
http://the-panopticon.blogspot.com/
I really like reading Ryan from Pacing The Panic Room.
Ryan takes beautiful photos and talks about anything and everything. It's really refreshing to get a guy's view on everything.
Thanks for Sharing these Bloges ๐ being an Aussie I thought it was a Blokes Blog most of the Bloges I follow are either about Books or Music o so it's nice to see something a bit different.
I didn't know about the term 'bloge'! So, thank you for explaining it 'cause I was feeling a little naive! ๐
And I guess the reason why I never knew it is because I only read two blogs with any regularity written by men.
http://markmontanoblogs.blogspot.com/ By the crafter machine, Mark Montano
http://www.houseofhumble.com/ Which is half man, Reuben and half not man, Katie.
I didn't even realise there were so few male bloggers I was reading about! Yikes!
I love Ro. And all his hunter gather buddies on the whole larder love blog roll. Who knew there were all these clever blokes blogging. But I did not know they were called Bloges until you told me Pip. And they all have beards. I love that too.
I have recently been loving 'That's just it' – http://thatsjustitphoto.com/ gorgeous photos and stories, perfect for a quick escape from reality. ๐
I have a massive crush on Jim at Sweet Juniper http://www.sweet-juniper.com/. He writes funny and often movingly about being a SAHD as well as taking great photos and generally being super-interesting. As a bonus, his wife has a craft blog called Sweet Juniper Woodcraft.
