Hopefully the person who is going to receive this for their super cute baby is NOT reading this. I reckon she’s off snuggling her newborn…. or some such niceness.
Despite a hefty list of things to do – I REALLY wanted to make this today – and I did. Awesome fabric from Nuno-Plus and Spotlight. Vintage Fabric binding made with the wonderful CLOVER bias tape maker. No batting as I wanted it to be able to be squished in a bag and toted around town.
It’s not perfect.. as I’m new to quick-quilt-land. It took about 2 hours. I heart it.
Yippeee!
xx Mikes

this quilt is just gorgeous, i want one for my bed…
xx
i heart it too 🙂
Love the quilt! And I would have to agree that making bias tape is addictive… especially when you realise how easy it is. I have two different sizes and use both lots.
Oh Pip it’s really lovely. I’m sure the mumma & the bubba will treasure it always.
This is so gorgeous Pip. SO clever so special.

it’s adorable! someone’s baby is so lucky!!
Thanks Pip, I ‘ll check out Ebay. I can’t wait to see my soupy prize. I’ll be at Brown Owls on Monday night if you want to save on postage.
HI Pip – Nice to meet you – I am now checking out your blog – very cool things – I like!!! – will be adding you to my google reader – I just wish that we had a Brown Owls group around my way – Talk soon – Cheer Tania
Oh curlypops! You must email me to get your soupy prize! I bought mine on eBay – but they have them at Clegs in the city – and the BIRCH ones at Spotlight. I got the blue Clover one that says 25 on it – i guess that’s 25mm. It’s ADDICTIVE making bias tape, i tell you!
That’s a beautiful quilt. I have about 20 metres of fabric destined for the same fate. Where did you buy your clover bias maker and what size do you think is easiest?
pippy this is beautiful!!
Nice work and beautiful colours!
