I like to ask awesome people to teach us stuff about writing. Today I asked Eden! Here’s what she said…
2. Buy some kind of spade implement from the hardware store to find out what is in your heart – a little garden digger, a paint scraper. Something that can help peel back the layers a bit, see what’s underneath you. What’s underneath you? Personally I use petrol and light myself on fire every morning but that is a bit dangerous and not recommended for everyone. But I will lend you some of my petrol if you want? I’ll share.
3. Notice that your heart is bigger and wider now than it was, before you started writing. This is because writing will change you, open you up, let you develop, let you understand yourself and others and THE WHOLE GALAXY. Writing has the power to do all that and so much more. Don’t stop. People need to hear what you have to say I promise. Writing is storytelling, the most primal of the arts because it dates back to the beginning of civilisation where people just wanted to connect. That will never change. Humans will always need to connect.
OR YOU CAN WRITE JUST FOR THE FUCK OF WRITING, NO REASON!

Love it!
She a good one that Eden Riley 🙂
Love this Eden, thank you, especially as I have a write-from-the-heart kind of blog that is struggling to gain traction. It just confirms to me that all I need to do is show up each day and keep writing. And great advice about getting out of my own way too xx
