Yummm….. this was what we all had for dessert tonight!
With a big scoop of ice-cream on the top!
(Of course we baked it wearing a lovely vintage apron!)
Apple Crumble
6 large Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of sugar
Crumble Topping
1/2 cup of Self Raising Flour
100g Butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1/4 cup coconut
1/4 cup rolled oats
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celcius
Put apples in saucepan with water and sugar
Cover and cook until tender
To make the crumble topping.. mix together last 5 ingredients until combined.
Put the apple in a shallow baking dish – drained of any juices – then put the crumble on top.. all nicely spread out to the edges… Bake it for about 30 minutes.. Serve and enjoy!
In the cupboard under the stairs… we found a whole lot of CDs we forgot about.. Dinah Shore, Mazzy Star, Blur, Ann Peebles….
