I’m writing this post for a friend. A-hem. *giggle*
My friend has three children who are a bit grown up. They have their own gang, own fun, own things going on. They don’t really want to do many things with my friend anymore, because they have grown into interesting, lovely, independent young people.
Of course that’s not to say that they don’t spend time together. But it’s more that these children like to spend a lot of time NOT together. Not with family so much. They like to be out in the world on their own.
I guess that is what growing up is about, right? Eventually you don’t get to read stories and tuck shirts in and brush hair and hold hands.
I think I will tell my friend that maybe they’ll do that for her, when she’s old and grey. That it will come full circle…?!
I’m going to tell her to make the most of the very excellent morsels of time, too…
Does this make any sense to you?!
xx Pip
