:: Poster Pocket Plants….

There are a lot of things I like, but one of the things I really, really like is when people fuse art, craft and other real life good-time pursuits into something clever and kind of arresting. I like it when people ignore the imagined lines between creative practices and just do the fun stuff they want to do. Look at these guys, for instance. Go them!

Poster Pocket Plants is an ace blog that’s documenting a street-art-meets-guerilla-gardening project. Sean Martindale and Eric Cheung are the Toronto fellas behind the pockety planting. Wow. Such a cool idea!!! As effective as street posters are, they kind of merge into a bit of a bombardy sameness after a while. Sometimes they can be out-dated, ugly or gratuitous. I think it’s so cool to see them re-interpreted in such a cute, positive and ever-changing way!

There are templates on the Poster Pocket Plants blog, so you can make your own little portable planter. If you would like to. I reckon these could be attached to all sorts of ugly urban eyesores, like a hopeful planty pioneer! What could be better then that?!
