Look at these pretty pastels! Nice! I’m normally quite bright, but perhaps the holidays make things a bit more subdued?!
Yesterday I had a lovely book-related meeting with the very nice lady who will design our book. So that was good. I had to take the train which I don’t like. I know. That’s stupid. I get a bit anxious that I’ll run late or miss my station or lose my ticket. What the heck is that about. I think I just need to catch the train more than twice a year. It’s all about familiarity, methinks. Silly me.
We had mozzarella and tomato grilled sandwiches for lunch – mine had a generous squirt of Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce. We went to the market to get bait for the boy’s fishing expedition tomorrow. We also cleaned the boy’s apocalypse of a room. I worked on the book. I listened to the radio and to Dan Sultan too. (I LOVE Dan Sultan, as you will know if you put up with my tweets!) I voted in the Triple J Hottest 100. I made some plans for Book Number 3. I drank coffee… phew. I am nearly finished reading ‘Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret’ – it’s the book I keep in my bag at the moment. Next some more PG Wodehouse or Gerald Durrell. I read some interesting stuff on the Vanity Fair site : about Cultural Identity in the Digital Age… and about Band-aid Heiress Casey Johnson.
Ari took some photos and hung out with the doggy. Max played on the Xbox. Cam did heaps of things mostly related to food and lugging bags of apocalyptic rubbish from the kidlets room (nothing yicky – mostly busted toys.)
How is life treating you, dear Reader?
xx Pip
