Applications are open for new crafters at Mike’s. Perhaps you might like to make a few things to sell in our shop? Here’s what to do ::
Send us a short email : (meetmeatmikes at gmail dot com) titled ‘CRAFTER APPLICATION’ letting us know what you make – and include a link to some images of what you make (please don’t attach images to emails – it’s better if you upload them to Flickr.com or somewhere like that). Please also include your wholesale price. A competitive retail price is very important in this economic climate. Let us know if you sell at markets and what your ‘market’ price is. You don’t need a huge quantity of stock – depending on the item, half a dozen pieces will often suffice (but more if it’s something teeny tiny!).
We are looking for people that are passionate about making things. We are seeking to stock the work of compulsive crafters! We are looking for high quality, nicely made things.
Applications close on October 30. Please don’t apply in person. Cam and I will review all the applications over the next couple of weeks. We’ll contact all applicants after that. Further businessy details will be discussed at that stage – to be sure that everything suits you. Items will be taken on consignment : and a consignment agreement will exchanged on delivery of stock detailing how it all works.

Softies or Plush Toys : Handmade – knitted, sewn, crocheted
Nursery/New Baby Gifts : Handmade
Accessories : Handmade – Hair accessories, fabric belts, simple bags, jewellery
Homewares : Handmade – homewares of any kind
Stationery : Cards, writing sets etc
Zines and Handmade Books
We’re not looking for children’s clothing or garments of any kind at the moment.
We are only a small store – so we won’t be able to accept all applications – but we’ll keep every application on file (and they’ll be first we call on when we look for new crafters). We also get a lot of other retailers through our store – so it would be good to recommend crafters to other retailers too!
