Today I nipped into the Design Market at Federation Square… after cooking the little guys a big breakfast of sausages and eggs and toasted turkish bread!
Well… it was only 11am.. but sooooo busy and dark and rainy and full of people with their eyes ALIVE with excitement! So great to be able to see a nice mix of commercial and handmade product… but would love it to be a bit lighter and brighter! For those of you who haven’t been.. it is held in a multi-level carpark – snuggled up to our lovely gallery and and on the banks of the Yarra River.. but it is DARK.. and bumpy.. with low ceilings! Let there be light!
I spied some lovely things … from Little Salon, Poppies for Grace, Me & Amber and more… but it was the (above) KAT McLEOD art-kerchief from Third Drawer Down.. that I spent my money on! Well worth it I think! I love Kat McLeod!
Then a wander through the NGV bookstore.. to marvel at the fantastic books.. especially the new Anthony Browne kids picture book! And such lovely Signature Prints bags!
And home for some sewing and stuffing and 6 eps of ‘That Girl’! And a little trip to the Chapel Street Bazaar.. to marvel at the gorgeous Turi Design Figgjo Soup Tureen… green and white and so lovely!
