I’ll tell you something good. The Lab Partners exhibition opens at Outre Gallery in the city on November 7th. Lab Partners are an atomic duo – all pastel prints and crafty charm – they’ll be showing gocco and letterpress work and some cute lil paintings and doodles and stuff. I know you like doodles. And gocco too.

But back to the show. What I like about these works (titled Hunt and Gather) is that they’re full of vintage references, pretty colours, little hearts and lovely ladies. And also shoes. Oh and don’t forget ships. And pipes, there are pipes too.
These prints remind me of everything I love about vintage illustration – and guys like Art Seiden and The Provensen’s would totally want to have dinner with Lab Partners and talk about Automats and cars with Pointy Fins and big blinking Neon signs. I just know it. They’d probably even play rummy together. Whatever that is.
