I have put my own mega granny blanket on hold, because all of a sudden there are babies everywhere and I think babies are important. Babies need to be warm. I want to make blankets for babies. So that is what I have been doing. This is the blanket I made for Hazel. I finally caught up with her (and Emma) today and she really quite liked it. It’s got cool little bobbles all over it, which are a bit booby-esque. She seemed to appreciate that. I made it up as I went along. It turned out pretty cute, I think!
Now I’m working on the Three Buttons yet-to-arrive baby’s blanket. (And I am meant to be picking up a bar fridge for Chez Lady from Ms Three Buttons. But I have been too busy crocheting to move furniture. Naughty me. I really must pull my finger out and get on with that. Whoops.)
Also I have been opening lots of envelopes. A couple of people put a little gift for ME in the envelopes, which I did not know about! So I am sorting through the HUGE box of things looking for the things that were not for the prize, but were for me! Thanks for the treats, peeps! But you don’t have to treat me. But that was nice! Yes! Sorry I didn’t know that things were for me : there are a few of us opening the envelopes… and there are LOTS of envelopes. In fact the prize is getting SO HUGE we might have to split it into a couple of prizes. There is just WAY too much for one person to cope with!
I had a nice catch up with Molly and Gemma and Lupita yesterday at Chez Lady. We talked clogs and crochet and WW2. It was nanna-esque and lovely. Molly is really ace. She is. And Gemma is the best pal a girl could have. And Lupita. WELL! She’s the biz in cute shoes. She is.
On Thursday I am helping Lucy host the Blogger’s Breakfast at the State of Design Festival. That will be rad. And. Um. I have been making lots of yummy food and staying warm and helping Ari with his blog and things like that.
What have you been doing? And have you seen this cool stitch guide (for crochet and knitting) over here?!
xx Pip
