Angela told us yesterday the sad tale of missing out on a HUGE vintage sewing basket CHOCK full of notions and ribbons and bibbons. It was sold at a demolition sale for around $3.. and it lives on in her memory and ours… A nod to all of you have have missed out on something they truly wanted.. but rest assured there is always something WAY better over the horizon!
We have lots of lovely sewing baskets at Mikes.. which we use to stow various lovely things in.. pretty much anything except sewing notions! (Although Molly gave me a HUGE blue one with a lovely strip of 70s floral across it that i have saved for my sewing paraphanalia…. It is really gorgeous.)
We found these gorgeous Stig Lindberg fabrics (above) on a Japanese site.. and they really are amazing…. I am a bit obsessed with these big bold colourful graphic prints.. must come from growing up in the 70s i feel.. i miss my floral clogs!
