We found treasure! We tripped off to Ballarat today to see the lovely Marion at Country Mouse! Ohhh she has the most delicious cup-cakes ever and such a lovely little shop and cafe!
We did some Christmas shopping and had a delicious lunch and found some pretty books and bought 5 vintage suitcases! Two are cream with red lining, one is red, one is green and one is blue! They should come in handy for filing all manner of things in the shop and the house too!We put the dining room table in the shop and piled it high with cute little gifty things.. but now we have no table to eat off.. so it will be picnics on the lounge-room floor until we work that one out!
Lovely Hard-Cover 1970s edition of Babar and Father Christmas. The writing in this book is all lovely cursive as it often is in the de Brunhoff books! It just begs to be read!
Beautiful and very falling apart book called ‘Little Dutch Children’ illustrated by Mariapia dated 1949.
Inside cover illustration of the Herald Classic published ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Alice through the Looking Glass’
PLUS! Today we saw a man with a top-hat dragging a tinsel covered Xmas tree along the highway…. hurrah!
