I is for Italian Roast Potatoes.
I thought if I looked in the INDEX of The New York Times Cookbook there would be something super clever that I could post under the letter ‘I’. There wasn’t anything super clever, actually. I don’t know what I expected. Maybe I thought there would be Indigo Pudding or Icicle Pops or something like that. I had to settle for Italian Roast Potatoes … not that that’s really settling, but I wanted something fancier for you. Sorry.
J is for Jovial.
My friend Sue and I had a drink last night at my fave pub, The Union Club Hotel. We are really great friends, Sue and I. We learn heaps of stuff from each other and get along FAMOUSLY. Sue is the leader of the now wound-up CBD Brown Owls, don’t you know?
I gave Sue a book wrapped in the watercolour wrapping paper I made a few weeks ago. And I put pompoms on it. If you like it then you should put a pompom on it. That’s my motto.
We had a fun time and I arrived home in a jovial mood and had 2 more glasses of wine. Then I woke up with a hangover, because I have not been drinking very much lately. Dang. Still. I’m really into jovial. I think it’s the season for it (and pompoms too.)
