Kirsty did it under the peppercorn tree.. but at my Primary School, the playground was flanked with rows of gum trees – and it was in this gummy shade that we played Swappies.
I bought mine from the big newsagent Ellis and Hawker (?) or something like that in Hobart. They were in a cardboard box up the back for 5c each. Jeez it was hard to decide which ones to get. I still collect swappies – and I have no idea what happened to my old ones.
I know that this girl loves them…. and so does this girl…
