Did you play it? Did you have the one in the box with the creepy man and lady on it? Did you lose the teeny tiny pegs all the time? Did your sister chew them like mine did? Did it make you tear your hair out… or were you a super good Mastermind-kinda-person?
I’m starting a Week of Fun and Games today… I think we don’t play enough games… and our kids perhaps think of games as something electronic.. rather than something you do at the kitchen table while there are scones in the oven.
To me games signalled school holidays, rainy days, cheese on toast, cousins, nanna-referee-d disputes, game shows on the telly and inter-sibling tournaments. There were also usually open fires, wonky legged tea-trays with sausages and mash and peas, cups of tea and ‘Get Smart’ on the cards too, if it was game time.
I can’t wait to revisit all my favourites..! Send me a comment if you decide to post too!
xx Mikes
