This came through this afternoon – it was sent to me by Allison at Lark. If you manufacture children’s products or know someone that does, please point them to Monica’s blog. She’s not looking for one or two things – but rather box fulls of things – so keep that in mind (perhaps pool resources with another small maker?) Here’s what Monica says…
—————————————————————
beyond pink and blue are organising “rainbow comfort packs” for children who have been affected by the bush fires in Victoria. I am contacting you in hope that you can assist me.
I am asking for products you can spare to put into these packs.
The aim is to provide some comfort and distraction while parents are dealing with what it is they need to face in the aftermath of their own tragedy.
So I am thinking along the lines of….
a bag of some sort which will have some items depending on their age group.
Comfort: something to hold, cuddle, talk, imagine with
Distraction: something they can play, do, look at, read
Also there may be need for products like bottles, bedding, towels etc, if you can offer anything to help with daily life, we will have your list and details on stand by.
Please contact me if you can donate and we will go from there. This needs to be done asap so we can organise delivery and putting the packs together, ready for the Emergency Relief centres to distribute when they can.
Thank you for your time in reading this. Cheers to our health,
Monica

Hey Pip,
Thanks for posting that!
I’ve just posted on my blog about it all and there is also a picture for people to paste on their blog to spread the word and link back to the original post.
No strangers here!
