Holy Hyenas! Look what arrived at Mikes late last week… Leah makes the most gorgeous softies…. sweet, considered and just all around gorgeous. These have been visiting at Bridge Road – but will be heading over to Brunswick St Mikes today….
AND…. some beautiful totes from the clever Kara Smith. You might have spotted Kara in Frankie magazine a little while ago?! Made from reclaimed and recycled fabric, there are 3 to choose from, because I kept the pink one! I love them because they fit my new HUGE diary in them! But also my new (unnecessary – why do i need 2??!) pair of Shinzi Katoh drink flasks too…. my bag is heavy… but these bags can handle it! These are also headed to Fitzroy.
I’ll be updating the store later today with some lovely new things… so stay tuned for that too….
On a kookier note, our building knows we are leaving… and it’s not happy…. in the last 2 days my internet has died, our hot water won’t work in the shower any longer, the dishwasher will only work every 3rd attempt, the huge sign on the roof that shouts ‘FOR LEASE’ blew down and threatened to kill someone – so the fire brigade were called to remove it. And it’s bloody hot! And I just had a blackout and had to reboot the freaking computer….. ENOUGH BUILDING! It’s just not working out anymore…. but we can still be friends.. go have coffee.. stuff like that… don’t take it so hard.. and stop breaking stuff.
xx mikes

Hey Pip!
So glad the little squirts arrived safe and sound! I hope your building gets tired of making life difficult soon….
Thanks so much for selling my Nongs in your shop – I hope they all find happy homes…!
xxxx
I must be tired…I read your post as this ‘the internet won’t work in the shower anymore’. As if that isn’t silly enough, I thought to myself – hmm, that’s cool, using the internet in the shower. Duh for me hey?
Your shop stocks the most wonderful things-yes your shop doesn’t want you to go!
I love the Nongs! They are wonderful.
Your house is being cheeky isn’t. Its probably sad you are leaving Pip
Oh the joys of moving – I feel for you – we have just done our sixth move in five years (and all over the country – mad really)
Hope that you have a warm shower and that the dishwasher will work at the new abode!
The softies are TDF and that bag is divine!
love love love the bag and softies! looks like an excellent start to the new year…
hope your building behaves 😉
Oh, ‘not happy’ building syndrome. Never experienced myself but have had others tell me of it. Building is going to miss you and your family lots & lots!!!
Cute Nongs!
Those softies are just gorgeous ! Love the bag in the pic too.
There is a wonderful drop in temperature today (thank goodness!) hopefully your building will start to play a little fairer. Maybe it didn’t like the heat.
Leah your Nongs are beautiful!!
i’m glad somethings are working for you. The thought of a cold shower does sound good, but you need a little hot water, hey!
