You know.. there are so many things I would show you – if I could! I’ve been having some crafty fun times toiling on our book project (due out in your favourite bookshop, about October this year). But I can’t show you any of it! I’ve been making heaps of cute things and playing with glue and gorgeous fabric and a lovely sewing machine (thankyou Brother) and pins and even more great stuff. But I can’t show you yet!
So.. I have to be happy to show you some other nice things instead.. until we’re a little closer to the booky finish line!
Tonight we had a drink and a chat with some nice people. Hatched some new plans, met some lovely girls we only knew through blogs.. and shivered out in the cold on Gertrude St with the neighbourhood dogs and the local peeps.
I must spend one hour settling down after exciting social events.. so I’m catching up on some favourite blogs – and thinking about what’s on for tomorrow.
I’m also a bit worried about the MICE we suddenly have scuttling about the building. And I’m a bit worried about sleeping in too late tomorrow. And I’m a bit worried that I haven’t cooked dinner for ages and Cam has been doing all of that (hence the GOAT we ate the other night – enough said). So tomorrow I will try not too sleep in, cook dinner and get my manuscript (which is a pompous name, I reckon) half finished for my lovely editors.
Also, everyone commented on how nice my hair was tonight – which reminds me that a brush is a fine thing sometimes, and you can’t always go free-style DIY on the hair front and use your work as an excuse. Note to self.
And tomorrow night – I am going to stay home and watch tv. I never watch tv. I LIKE it.. but I don’t watch it. I need to just ease up i think.
And on Friday.. it’s Rin’s birthday. And she will be TWENTY! Yikesy! Hurrah!
OK – time to post some other stuff that’s not about ME!
xx Mikes

Thanks for organising the night Pip! It was lovely to meet so many great crafty people (especially after the initial OMG I don’t know anyone here nerves wore off!!).
(And I gotta say, I think you’re about the most prolific blogger I know!! Which is a good thing!!)
Thanks again,
Sherrin
I don’t know, I would love to be able to say ‘my manuscript’. Sounds lovely to me!! Looking forward to finally meeting you at the Stitches and Craft show next week!
Thanks for organising such a lovely night Pip. It was so much fun to meet up with everyone and talk all things craft and life.
See you at Brown Owls. I’m counting the sleeps now.
